Hold III exhibition @ Belco Arts

I’m super excited to be part of the Hold III exhibition at Belco Arts. This exhibition will take me back to Belco, where I grew up as a kid and where I first made things with clay under my grandmother’s watchful eye.

The exhibition celebrates all things good about eating or drinking from an exquisitely crafted plate or vessel. That kind of eating and drinking is absolutely my favourite kind, so I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone has been making.

I hope you’ll come and check out the two little pieces I will have in the show. It runs from 5 April to 19 May at the West Gallery, Belconnen Arts Centre, Canberra.

My first piece for the exhibition is a little hand-pinched and carved porcelain beaker, wood fired in Ian and Moraig’s salt kiln with a gorgeous celadon glaze. It has already been snapped up, but it’s got a lot of personality so I’m sure it would love to meet you.

My second piece is another wood and salt fired porcelain celadon one, a wheel thrown and hand carved bowl. The proportions are just right for pretty much any meal, and you can buy this one during the exhibition.
